Disclaimers

Welcome to the Prometheus Project, where I’m taking on a project each week to explore what’s possible with creativity, tools, and a bit of structured chaos. That said, here are a few important caveats to keep in mind…

Affiliate Links & Transparency

Whenever relevant, I will use affiliate program links in my posts. This means I may earn a small commission if you purchase something using one of those links—at no extra cost to you. If you’d rather not enable that, you can clear your browser cache or open the link in incognito mode. No hard feelings either way; it’s just a small way to support my work here.

Not Financial, Legal, or Professional Advice

Let’s make this clear: I’m not a financial advisor, lawyer, or anything else you might mistake for a licensed professional. This is not advice, guidance, or a recommendation. The things I explore might exist in the gray area of “is this okay?” — but that’s part of the fun. If you’re worried about legality, compliance, or consequences, you probably shouldn’t follow my lead (or at least do your own due diligence).

The Jurassic Park Philosophy

A guiding (and perhaps a bit dangerous) quote for this project is:

“They stopped asking whether they should and only asked if they could…”
- Jurassic Park (probably) (great meme either way)

My approach will often lean into this idea, but not in a reckless or harmful way. The goal is to see what’s possible—to test limits and experiment without getting too bogged down in “what ifs.” Of course, this isn’t about causing harm or doing anything unethical; it’s about staying curious and creative.

And yes, I’m aware how the movie ended.

Legal, Ethical, and Moral Boundaries

To take things a bit further, I want to emphasize that while I’m exploring boundaries, I won’t knowingly cross legal, ethical, or moral lines. If something feels off or questionable, I’ll do my best to acknowledge it and, of course, not do it. But hey, I’m human, and this is a messy, iterative process. If you spot something concerning, please let me know (constructively, please)!

Originality and Respect for Others’ Work

I deeply respect the creativity and hard work of others and want to be clear that I’m not here to plagiarize or misuse anyone’s ideas, content, or intellectual property. While I draw inspiration from various sources, I strive to ensure my work reflects my own thoughts and originality. If anything I share seems uncomfortably similar to someone else’s work, it’s unintentional. Please reach out, and I’ll address it promptly.

Imperfection Is the Goal

… Which brings me to my last point. This website and the content I produce will not be perfect. There will be typos, broken links, poorly thought-out ideas, and possibly projects that make you cringe or wonder “why spend time on that??”  That’s the nature of the beast when you’re trying to do something fast, big, and bold. Consider this your warning and my invitation to embrace the imperfections with me. Signed, a semi-recovering perfectionist.

In Conclusion

If you’re here expecting polished, risk-free content, this might not be the place for you. But if you’re curious, open-minded, and ready to see where this journey takes us, welcome!
